The European Online Exam Consortium becomes OP4RE

The call for the Online Exam Consortium was a success, with 30 education partners all over Europe joining the Erasmus+ project. Follow our work with OP4RE!
The establishment of the European Online Exam Consortium has succeeded! With almost 30 educational partners spread out over Europe involved with the “Online Proctoring for Remote Examination” project for Erasmus+, the interest in Online Proctoring is evident. In order to implement Online Proctoring on a wider scale, questions still need to be answered.
Together with the seven strategic partners, we have laid the groundwork of the research needed to further Online Proctoring in education. The five topics that we will be addressing are:
- Accreditation of online education that include remote examination is currently uncertain
- Outstanding Security issues including fraud
- Practical issues in the concrete execution of remote examination
- Negative perspective/experience by students
- Privacy issues related to remote examination

Who are OP4RE strategic partners?

The “Online Proctoring for Remote Examination” is lead by seven Strategic Partners. These prestigious universities from around Europe will lead research and be responsible for the intellectual outcomes of the project: Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands), FIED – Fédération Interuniversitaire de l’Enseignement à Distance (France), Fontys University of Applied Sciences(Netherlands), Hasselt University (Belgium), University of Hertfordshire (UK), Wilhelm Büchner University of Applied Sciences (Germany), and VU University Amsterdam (Netherlands).

For Erasmus+ we have been working the past few month together to describe in detail how we will research the topics, disseminate them and measure expected outcomes.

Who are OP4RE Associate Partners?

The Associate Partners will be the first to know about developments in Online Proctoring. Some will be supporting the project by taking part in their own pilots and studies.
